Terms of Service

By downloading, accessing, or using ColombiaFX (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not install or use the Service.

1. Description of Service

ColombiaFX provides mobile-first currency conversion tools between United States Dollars (USD) and Colombian Pesos (COP), including live conversion widgets, saved conversions, and rate insights for travelers, expats, and businesses.

2. No Financial Advice

ColombiaFX does not provide financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. Exchange rates are provided for informational purposes only, are not guaranteed to be real-time, and may differ from the rates offered by banks, exchanges, or payment providers.

You use the Service at your own discretion and risk.

3. Monetization and Subscription Terms

ColombiaFX offers an ad-supported free tier and a Premium subscription at $2.99 per month. The free tier displays contextual Google AdMob banner and interstitial ads, limits saved conversions to five entries, and provides the baseline widgets and rate insights. Premium removes ads, unlocks unlimited saved conversions, delivers advanced widgets and insights, and grants priority rate updates and other enhancements.

• Free tier: contextual ads via Google AdMob, up to 5 saved conversions, standard widgets.
• Premium: ad-free experience, unlimited saved conversions, advanced widgets, priority updates.
• Ads rely on the Android Advertising ID (AAID) or iOS Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) for serving contextual ads; no sensitive personal information is used beyond what AdMob permits.

Premium subscriptions are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle until cancelled. You manage, cancel, or renew your subscription directly through the subscription settings provided by Apple or Google.

ColombiaFX does not retain payment card or billing information; billing and payment disputes are handled by the platform that processed your purchase.

4. Exchange Rate Accuracy

Exchange rates are sourced from third-party providers. While we strive to present accurate data, rates may be delayed, approximated, cached for offline use, or temporarily unavailable. ColombiaFX is not liable for inaccuracies, errors, or delays in rate information.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for unlawful purposes or fraudulent activities
• Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the app or its infrastructure
• Circumvent security protections or usage limits

6. Third-Party Services

ColombiaFX relies on third-party providers for exchange rate data, advertising, analytics, and hosting. We are not responsible for those providers’ availability or behavior.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ColombiaFX is provided "as is" and "as available," with all faults. We are not liable for:

• Direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses (including financial losses)
• Incorrect, incomplete, delayed, or missing conversion data
• Service interruptions, outages, or degraded performance
• Actions or errors by third-party providers or stores

Some jurisdictions limit or prohibit the exclusion of liability for certain damages; where such limitations apply, liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.

8. Termination

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or parts of it) at any time without notice. We may also terminate your access if you violate these Terms.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States of America, without regard to conflict of law principles.
