Privacy Policy

ColombiaFX ("we", "our", or "us") values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, and shared when you use the ColombiaFX mobile applications on iOS and Android, as well as the supporting website (together, the "Service"). The Service is for informational currency conversions only and does not provide financial advice.

1. Information We Collect

We do not require account registration, and we avoid collecting personally identifiable information such as your name, address, or phone number. For app performance and analytics, we collect:

• Mobile app usage data (features accessed, conversions saved, widget interactions)
• Crash diagnostics and stability metadata needed to troubleshoot problems
• Approximate location information limited to country-level data derived from your device or IP

2. Mobile Advertising & Analytics

We integrate the Google AdMob SDK in the app to display contextual, non-sensitive banner and interstitial advertisements to the free tier. AdMob relies on the Android Advertising ID (AAID) on Android devices and the Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) on iOS. iOS devices will display an App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt when required, and the ATT prompt governs whether we can access the IDFA for personalization. Contextual ads do not use sensitive personal information beyond what is permitted by Google’s policies.

Advertising identifiers are shared with Google solely for AdMob ad delivery, frequency capping, and measurement. We do not combine AdMob identifiers with other personal data or sell them to third parties. Contextual ads are based on device type, locale, and in-app activity, not private or sensitive content.

On the website we use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) via Helionix Labs to understand aggregate usage. IP addresses are anonymized and events focus on functional metrics (page views, button clicks, navigation paths). We do not employ additional advertising trackers or cross-site identifiers beyond AdMob on the mobile apps.

3. How We Use Information

Collected information is used to operate and improve the Service, monitor performance, analyze usage trends, troubleshoot crashes, and comply with legal obligations. Advertising identifiers are processed by Google AdMob solely to deliver contextual ads and measure impressions or clicks.

We do not sell personal data.

4. In-App Purchases

Premium subscriptions are offered through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store at $2.99 per month. Purchases and renewals are handled by the respective platform, including billing, renewal notices, and refunds. We do not store your payment card or billing details on our servers. You manage subscriptions, cancellations, and billing directly from your App Store or Google Play account settings.

5. Your Controls

You can disable AdMob tracking and personalized ads using the device-level controls supplied by iOS or Android under Settings > Privacy > Tracking, and you can opt out of personalized ads through the operating system settings that govern advertising identifiers. Turning off tracking will limit personalized ad delivery but does not remove contextual ads provided to the free tier.

You may also uninstall the app at any time. For data-access or deletion requests, contact us at support@colombiafx.app and we will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

6. Data Retention

We retain anonymized, aggregated, or pseudonymized usage data only as long as necessary to operate and improve the Service or to comply with legal obligations. Diagnostic logs and crash data are periodically purged once they are no longer needed to troubleshoot issues.

7. Children's Privacy

ColombiaFX is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
